Why bet on Michigan:

✅ Michigan has impressed on the road early this season, going 2-1 away from Ann Arbor
✅ UCLA is 4-0 at home, but their home schedule has not been impressive, with three of their home wins coming against Omaha
✅ The UCLA offense sputtered over the weekend, scoring just three runs in three games against Vanderbilt

Michigan Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines come into Wednesday night's marquee matchup with UCLA off of a blowout loss to the UC Irvine Anteaters. The Wolverines gave up 15 runs in that contest, resulting in their first loss in a true road game this season. Here, the Wolverines will look to get back into the win column, and improve to 3-1 on the road by beating a ranked UCLA team.

For Michigan, the bullpen has to be better against UCLA than it was against UC Irvine. They got two scoreless innings from Kurt Barr to start the game, before their next four pitchers gave up 15 runs in five innings. Only 10 of those runs were earned, but that is not exactly a great number either. Pitching will be the key to this game for Michigan.

UCLA Bruins

The UCLA Bruins return home for this game against the Michigan Wolverines, after dropping two out of three against Vanderbilt on the road over the weekend. UCLA is undefeated at home on the season, and will hope that returning home will help them to get back to their winnings ways so they can remain in the top-20 in the college baseball rankings.

While Michigan's pitching was its issue in its last outing, it was the hitting of the Bruins that cost them against the Commodores. UCLA scored three runs in three games against Vandy, getting shut out in two of those three contests. Michigan's bullpen could be just what the doctor ordered for a struggling UCLA lineup at home on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
