Martin Truex Jr.
Truex Jr. is a 31-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series and is currently under contract with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) Toyota. He joined JGR in 2019 and won his first race with the team the following year at Richmond Raceway.
For the past three years with JGR, Truex has always finished in the top 5 in his six Richmond races. Moreover, Richmond is also known as JGR’s best track. With that being said, Truex's decision to join the upcoming race at Richmond with JGR is seen as one of the most awaited races.

Kyle Busch is driving the No. 18 Toyota Camry for JGR and has finished in the top 10 in 26 of his 33 Richmond starts. He also has the record of finishing the race in the top five more than 50 percent of the time. Busch is currently in eighth place in this season’s standings with 634 points and one win.
In May 2022, Busch showed his consistent performance during Coca-Cola 600. He has recorded four top-10s and three top-three finishes in his last five starts. Moreover, Busch also has the series-best average finish of 11.2.
